Buon Anno a tutti! This new year is bringing lots of fun, classes and activities to the Italian For Fun! Language Center at 810 Broadway, downtown Nashville. Join us for these fun upcoming events!
“Cinema Italiano” happens every last Saturday of the month at 7:00 pm. Bring a beverage and a snack to share and come watch an Italian film with us with English subtitles. The cost is only $5.00 and you will meet others who speak Italian and love All Things Italian! This month the movie is “Pane e Tulipani”. Ages 21 and over please.

Caffe’ Con Guido! Every saturday at 10:00 AM you can join our favorite retired Calabrian who lives here in Nashville for coffee and conversation! Bring $5.00 and your pen and paper and Italian dictionary and practice with Guido! held in the kitchen at our office at IFF. Email for details.
New Intensive Class offered for a Fast Track to Fluency
In our quest to provide Italian language learning opportunities in Nashville we are proud to announce that Patti will start a new program teaching from the language course endorsed by Alma Edizioni, the provider of the books for the Societa’ Dante Alighieri of Florence, Italy. (www.ladante.it) This prestigious school named for the man who is also called “The Father of the Italian language” is the learning institution endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Education which also offers a “PLIDA” certification for students who want to be certified in proficiency in the Italian language.
Alma Edizioni (www.almaedizioni.it) has several selections of courses, for all ages. After a careful search and request of recommendations from other educators I have found that the Course called “Italian Espresso” is the first authentic “Made in Italy” Italian course designed for English-speaking students. “Mangiare e Parlare”-Eat and Speak Italian Starts!
Italian For Fun! will host gatherings at local eateries, just as we did when we began nearly ten years ago! Every Saturday join us at Gondola House Pizzeria in Hermitage at 1:00 pm for a pizza pie and some Italian speaking! The cost is simply ten bucks each visit for class plus your lunch which is tasty and very reasonable! Wednesday evenings we will gather at Panera Bread in Brentwood (in the Target shopping center) at 6:30pm for more Mangiare e Parlare! At Italian For Fun! we are always looking for fresh ideas to get Italian speakers gathered and speaking! We started IFF many years ago meeting at our favorite eateries, having a plate of scrumptious italian fare and conversing in our favorite language! We will begin new gatherings all over Middle Tennessee with our fabulous team of Italian speakers. Please watch for an announcement by next week of locations, prices and times. We will make sure that whatever level of proficiency you are at, you will be included in the “conversazione” Most gatherings will include 8-12 students and be held weekly, 5 pre-paid sessions per signup. write to Italianforfun@gmail.com for details
